About Us

Jeremiah Taylor first founded Taylor of Old Bond Street on September the 1st, 1854. Jeremiah opened his salon in London's fashionable Bond Street and gained a reputation in British Society for his botanical extracts. The Taylor tradition continued through the next generation with Sidney who opened our now famous flagship store in Jermyn Street, London.

The 'Taylor' brand epitomizes classic British style and understated elegance, reliability and quality. Our products are manufactured and designed to meet the highest standards and are made out of natural ingredients where appropriate. We strive on providing both exceptional customer service and products.

Taylor of Old Bond Street remains a family business.

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Order' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from outside of the UK, your credit card company will convert the transaction from GBP British Pounds to the currency of the card issuing country.

We accept Debit and Credit Cards, including: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and Maestro.

Card Security

Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Security Code
The card security code is a unique three or four-digit number printed on your debit/credit card. This number is not embossed on the card and hence not printed on receipts - making it difficult for anyone other than the genuine cardholder, to know it. Some card issuers refer to this number as the 'Card Security Code' or 'personal security code' or 'Card Verification Value'.

Some cards have a three-digit number printed at the top of the signature strip on the reverse of the card.

Others, like America Express Express cards, have a four-digit number printed on the front of the card, above the account number.
